Jordan Smith, MD, blends his love of pediatrics with advanced training in sports medicine to help kids stay active, safe, and strong. After completing his medical degree at UC Riverside and pediatrics residency at Loma Linda, he pursued a fellowship in sports medicine at Riverside University Health System. His approach combines preventive care with practical strategies to keep children moving, whether they’re chasing their first soccer goal or competing at a higher level.
As both a pediatrician and lifestyle medicine specialist, he sees movement as a cornerstone of lifelong health. He works with families not only to treat sports injuries but also to build habits that support strength, resilience, and confidence well beyond the playing field. His goal is to help young athletes recover quickly, return to what they love, and prevent setbacks in the future.
A lifelong Inland Empire local, he enjoys hiking, beach days, and staying active with his five children. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as a field surgeon with the National Guard. At Rancho Pediatrics, he’s excited to bring his sports medicine expertise to the community, supporting kids in reaching their full potential on and off the field.

An APP (Advanced Practice Practitioner) is either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. While doctors and APP’s differ in their education level, APP’s can diagnose, treat and coordinate care as a regular Primary Care Physician would.
Our doctors currently accept all insurance plans that our medical group, Regal accepts. However, as physicians’ patient panels become increasingly impacted, some physicians will only accept new Medicare Advantage patients only.
As a patient of Rancho Family, you’re welcome to see any provider within the group. All your medical records and chart notes are available to whichever provider you choose to schedule with, so if your doctor is unavailable, don’t worry! Our providers are here to make your care as cohesive as possible.
Becoming a new patient is easy! If you are 65+ and need help, please call our Patient Relations team at 951-225-6808. If you are not a senior or not on Medicare, you can call the office directly at 951-676-4193.
