Dr. Irene Ching is a California native, originally from the East Los Angeles area. She graduated from El Dorado High School and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Ching continued her medical education at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. After spending four years in New York, she returned to Southern California to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA-affiliated St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach.

Dr. Ching’s passion for medicine was sparked at an early age. She witnessed her mother’s struggle with multiple health conditions, which required frequent doctor visits. Taking an active role in her mother’s care, Dr. Ching developed an understanding of managing health conditions, and it was the compassion and dedication of her mother’s primary care physician that inspired her to pursue a career in medicine.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ching enjoys hiking and exploring new trails, as well as traveling along the California coast. She loves experiencing different cultures and cuisines while traveling internationally.
