Rancho Reminder
June 2025
This Month's Highlights

What can our PA-C & NP's do for you?

Experience the benefits of including an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in your healthcare team. Working alongside your doctor, APPs play a key role in ensuring you receive complete, individualized care. Whether you see a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, these experienced professionals can diagnose conditions, perform annual physicals, prescribe medications, handle sick visits, order lab tests, create treatment plans, interpret results, and make specialist referrals when needed. A major advantage? APPs often offer more flexible appointment times, making healthcare easier to access. Take advantage of personalized care and improved scheduling by booking an appointment with your APP today.

This Month's Recipe
Garden Salad
As summer approaches and the days get warmer, now is the perfect time to start adding fresh and delicious salads to your meal plan. Salad can be a great way to get some extra nutrients into your diet while also serving as an easy and light meal option.
June Holidays
Father’s day
- Father’s Day is a special occasion to honor and celebrate the fathers, father figures, and mentors who have shaped our lives with love, strength, and guidance. It’s a day to show appreciation for all the big and small things they do—from offering support and protection to teaching life’s most valuable lessons. Whether through a heartfelt message, a thoughtful gift, or simply spending quality time together, Father’s Day is a chance to say “thank you” to the dads who make a difference every day.
First day of summer
- The first day of summer, which falls on June 20th this year, marks the official start of the sunniest season of the year—a time when days are longest, temperatures rise, and nature bursts into full bloom. It’s a perfect opportunity to embrace the outdoors, whether it’s heading to the beach, enjoying evening walks, or simply soaking up the sunshine. There’s a fresh energy in the air as summer invites us to slow down, reconnect with friends and family, and make lasting memories under golden skies.
Adopt a Pet!
Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary & Rescue Pet of Month
Rancho Family Medical Group is proud to partner with Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary! Each month, we will feature a “Pet of the Month” that is available for adoption. Hope Ranch has also initiated a wonderful program called the Senior Fur Senior Program, where adoption fees are waived for seniors (65+) adopting a senior dog (7+). Fees may vary depending on the dog or length of stay, but this initiative aims to bring joy and companionship to both the pets and their new owners.
Darcie is an absolute sweetheart looking for her perfect forever home! This adorable 8-year-old, 8-pound bundle of love is as easygoing as they come. She’s a champion cuddler who will happily curl up in your lap for hours, soaking up all the love and attention you have to give. Darcie is wonderful with kids, other dogs, and even cats, making her a great addition to a multi-pet household. However, she truly thrives in a calm, quiet environment where she can relax and enjoy a peaceful life. Whether you’re looking for a loyal companion for movie nights, a snuggle buddy for chilly evenings, or just a gentle soul to brighten your days, Darcie is ready to be your new best friend!

Meet Spatz, an absolutely adorable 14-year-old boy with a vibrant personality! Weighing around 10-13 lbs, he’s a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix who acts like he’s half his age. Spatz is mellow, easygoing, and gets along well with other dogs, though he’s perfectly content on his own too.

Tinker is 8 years old and is very sweet little girl. She loves to be on the couch next to her person and sleeps in the bed all night very easily. She is house trained and likes to go for walks but due to her vision issues, she is very slow and cautious. She is very food motivated and loves her snacks! She is happiest cuddled on the couch next to her person most of all. She is very low energy and undemanding. She seems to be fine with other dogs and her previous owners had a young child and my understanding is they loved each other. Tinker just recently had a dental and full work up…she has a clean bill of health and is ready to become a member of your family!

Ginger is a tiny, 8-pound sweetheart is a 10-year-old Chihuahua with a calm soul and a gentle spirit. She may be partially blind and toothless, but don’t let that fool you—she gets around just fine and even eats dry food without any issues! With just a little help from eye drops twice a day, she continues to thrive and enjoy life at her own pace.
She’s pad trained but will also do her business outside when you take her out. She’s easygoing and sleeps contentedly in a cozy dog bed, though she’s not allowed on the human bed for safety reasons, since she’s had a few close calls with falling off.
She’s great with both cats and other dogs, as long as they respect her space and don’t try to pester her. She’s a quiet little companion, low-maintenance and full of love. She’s perfect for a calm home with someone who appreciates the special charm of a senior pup.

At around 11 years young, Winston is a distinguished Schnauzer gentleman with the energy of a pup and the manners of a true gentle-dog. He’s the kind of guy who’s ready for whatever your day holds—whether you’re working, gardening, binge-watching true crime documentaries, or going on a leisurely stroll, Winston is 100% in. He doesn’t just want to be near you—he wants to *do life* with you.
Health-wise, Winston’s doing great! He’s had a recent vet checkup, got an allergy shot (he was very brave about it), and gets eyedrops twice a day—which he takes like a champ. He’s got that classic Schnauzer spunk and hasn’t let a few senior years slow him down one bit.
Winston’s looking for a forever home where he can be your little shadow, your couch buddy, your walking partner, and your number one fan. Bonus points if you’re a sucker for expressive eyebrows and happy tail wags.
