Your deadline to change Medicare coverage
October 15 – December 7, 2026
Our 15 lunches run October 15 to November 18. Each one is 12:00pm to 1:00pm, free and open to everyone — no appointment needed.
The basics
What is the Medicare Annual Election Period?
Once a year, everyone on Medicare gets a chance to look at their coverage and change it. Our lunches happen to fall during this window — so if you meet a doctor you would like to switch to, you can make it official right away.
When it runs
October 15 through December 7 every year. Any change you make takes effect January 1, 2027.
What can change
Move between Original Medicare and a Medicare Advantage plan, switch Advantage plans, or join, drop, or change a Part D prescription drug plan.
Why it matters
Plans change their costs, their drug lists, and their doctor networks every year. The plan that fit you last year may not cover the same things in 2027.

Lunch with the doctor,
not a rushed appointment
Choosing a doctor is a big decision. These lunches give you time to meet a physician who practices in your community, ask about their approach to care, and decide if they are the right fit — no pressure to switch.
- Meet the doctor in person. Every lunch is hosted by a named Rancho Family physician and their care team.
- Ask about their care style. Find out how they practice, what a visit is like, and whether their approach fits your family.
- See if they are taking new patients. If you like what you hear, our team can help you switch during this enrollment window.
- Come to the clinic you already know. Twelve of the fifteen lunches are held in a Rancho Family waiting room you have been to before.

Fifteen lunches. Every one is free and open to all.
All lunches run 12:00pm to 1:00pm. You are welcome to just show up — call ahead only if you would like us to save you a seat.
