Raised in a diverse area of Los Angeles by his grandparents, Dr. Steven Ching brings a unique perspective to senior health. He graduated from medical school at UCLA and completed much of his training at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance.

Dr. Ching’s passion for medicine was sparked by his love of connecting with people. Over time, his deep commitment to serving others led him to pursue a career in healthcare. This dedication is reflected in his approach to medicine, which he views as the “art of medicine.” He believes in treating patients holistically and listening deeply to their needs. As he says, “Healing comes in many shapes and forms, but it doesn’t always have to look like a pill. I firmly believe a greater degree of impact can occur through the simple act of listening, communicating, empathizing, and caring.”

Outside of his practice, Dr. Ching enjoys a variety of activities. He takes long walks and enjoys longboarding near the lake by his home. His iconic bowties are a signature part of his style. He also has a passion for cooking traditional Cantonese dishes, a skill that reflects his Chinese heritage and upbringing.
